Press Release 2005

The Public and artists group Stan’s Café have re-visited their 2004 website www.hohoho.org.uk to create some large scale festive billboards for the Metro route celebrating the best festive light displays in Birmingham and the Black Country. The images celebrate the many light displays across the region. The website features top tips on how to plan and design your own festive display, stories about the people and places associated with these works of art plus safety tips. James Yarkar at Stan’s Café said: "Over recent years the dark winter nights in the Midlands have been cheered by a growing number of brightly decorated homes. The website pays tribute to the people who spend their time and money transforming their homes into glittering palaces." Rich Franks, Designer at The Public said: "I have thoroughly enjoyed up-dating the website this year and adding some new stories and images. It has also been great to catch up with all the talented people who annually decorate their homes and it is great to showcase the work along the Metro." For more information, to view or submit pictures of seasonal displays visit www.hohoho.org.uk or take a ride on the metro to view some of the images.
