A shed load of Santas

HoHoHo visitors will no doubt be aware of the problems of pets getting themselves locked in garden sheds. What  we can exclusively reveal today however, is the less well known threat that the domestic shed also poses Santas.

The Santas launch into another Slade track.

Yesterday in West Bromwich a garden shed was discovered to contain no less than 30 Santas. It seems the men in red see the humble dwellings as welcoming  shelters from the elements and once they are in, out of the snow and away from the bad tempered reindeers, they can be quite reluctant to leave.

‘I came in here last Christmas night just for a few minutes to get out of the sleet, and it was packed!’ Said one Santa. ‘I couldn’t believe other Santas had had the same idea’.

Obviously, when more than one Santa gets together the sherry starts flowing and it isn’t long before the singing and dancing begins.

‘Oh yes – this is definitely the best shed party I’ve been to in many a year’ Said Santa X (who wished to remain unidentified) as he took a break from playing saxophone. ‘Everyone’s singing and dancing – sitting on a sleigh in a hailstorm is a mugs game’.

Neighbours in the West Bromwich area are a little concerned about getting their presents on the big day, but shed owner George Thompson (looking not a little unlike  Santa himself) is sure the revellers will not forget their duty.

As Santa-X launched into another Boney-M medley our undercover reporter made his excuses and left.
